Job Summary:
The TMS Support Specialist provides day-to-day support for internal and external users of the company’s web-based Transportation Management System (3GTMS). This entry-level role focuses on responding to user inquiries, assisting with basic system functionality, troubleshooting common issues, and escalating more complex problems as needed. The position works closely with internal teams to ensure timely resolution of requests and clear communication with users, while developing technical and business knowledge to support future growth.
Duties/Responsibilities:
The TMS Support Specialist provides day-to-day support for internal and external users of the company’s web-based Transportation Management System (3GTMS). This entry-level role focuses on responding to user inquiries, assisting with basic system functionality, troubleshooting common issues, and escalating more complex problems as needed. The position works closely with internal teams to ensure timely resolution of requests and clear communication with users, while developing technical and business knowledge to support future growth.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Provide timely TMS software support for both internal and external end users
- Prioritization of all requests so users receive a response in a timely manner
- Escalate support issues to proper individuals if needed
- Minor TMS Configuration alongside project management team
- Develop effective solutions for complex issues that may arise
- Identify and implement process to increase automation
- Communicate solutions with affected users
- Expands skill sets and explores future applications of software and business knowledge to increase opportunities for company and self
- Note: This role is not hardware oriented
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proven ability to interact effectively with both non-technical and highly technical users
- Ability to prioritize and balance multiple tasks
- Willingness to research and figure out complex issues
- Self-motivation, strong work ethic and keen attention to detail

- Excellent computer skills
- Transportation, logistics or supply chain experience is preferred but not necessary
- Transportation Management System (TMS) experience preferred
- Excel/Word /HTML/XML/EDI/XSL experience preferred
- Previous experience supporting software applications
- 2+ years in operating, configuring transportation management software preferred
- 2+ years in transportation or logistics industry preferred
- Physical dexterity sufficient to use hands, arms, and shoulders repetitively to operate a keyboard and other office equipment, use a telephone, access file cabinets and other items stored at various levels, including overhead
- Ability to speak and hear well enough to communicate clearly and understandably with sufficient volume to ensure an accurate exchange of information at a normal conversational distance, over the telephone, and in a group setting
- Ability to continuously operate a personal computer for extended periods of time (4 or more hours)
- Mental acuity sufficient to collect and interpret data, evaluate, reason, define problems, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, make valid judgments and decisions
