Carrier Solutions Representative
Job Summary:
The Carrier Solutions Representative is responsible for procuring and developing carrier relationships.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Sources, qualifies, and develops strategic carrier partners for current and future freight needs
Builds and maintains accurate carrier profiles within company systems, ensuring data integrity and usability
Applies data-driven insights and compliance requirements to evaluate, select, and maintain a high-performing carrier network
Utilizes data, technology, and market insights to match carriers with optimal freight opportunities
Develops long-term carrier relationships focused on performance, reliability, and mutual growth
Identifies and connects carrier candidates for specific freight opportunities
Collaborates cross-functionally with operations, pricing, sales, and customer teams to support customer success
Supports strategic initiatives to strengthen and scale DLX’s carrier network
Monitors carrier performance and market trends to proactively address capacity needs
Required Skills/Abilities:
Must be focused, motivated, and organized
Must be comfortable with communicating over the phone
Flexible team player capable of multitasking
Working knowledge of technology
Must be open-minded and eager to learn/grow skills
Proficiency in Excel
Bi-lingual (English and Spanish) preferred
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree preferred
Previous experience in the Transportation industry preferred
Physical Requirements:
Physical dexterity sufficient to use hands, arms, and shoulders repetitively to operate a keyboard and other office equipment, use a telephone, access file cabinets and other items stored at various levels, including overhead
Ability to speak and hear well enough to communicate clearly and understandably with sufficient volume to ensure an accurate exchange of information in normal conversational distance, over the telephone, and in a group setting
Ability to continuously operate a personal computer for extended periods of time (4 or more hours)
Mental acuity sufficient to collect and interpret data, evaluate, reason, define problems, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, make valid judgments and decisions
