Job Summary: 
The Customer Account Manager is a trusted logistics advisor providing transportation solutions to support the TMS clients’ supply chain needs. Account Managers proactively reach out to key stakeholders within the customers’ organizations to drive continuous improvement. Problem solving challenging customer issues while providing an exceptional customer experience. 

Duties/Responsibilities: 

  • Builds and maintains strong, long-lasting customer relationships 

  • Collaborates with Carrier Reps to identify carrier needs to grow opportunities with new and current customers 

  • Ensures the timely and successful delivery of our shipments according to customer needs and objectives 

  • Creates efficiencies and drives continuous improvement 

  • Identifies market trends that may have a positive or negative impact on the customer 

  • Provides a positive customer experience through constant communication and relationship building 
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office 

Education and Experience: 

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred 

  • At least one year of experience in the Logistics industry 

Physical Requirements: 

  • Physical dexterity sufficient to use hands, arms, and shoulders repetitively to operate a keyboard and other office equipment, use a telephone, access file cabinets and other items stored at various levels, including overhead 

  • Ability to speak and hear well enough to communicate clearly and understandably with sufficient volume to ensure an accurate exchange of information in normal conversational distance, over the telephone, and in a group setting 

  • Ability to continuously operate a personal computer for extended periods of time (4 or more hours) 

  • Mental acuity sufficient to collect and interpret data, evaluate, reason, define problems, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, make valid judgments and decisions
